Welcome to the World Congress on Agroforestry 2025! We are thrilled to have you join us for the next five days as we explore the cutting edge of agroforestry ideas and techniques.
Our exhibition area, which features a wide range of displays from eminent researchers, business leaders, and groups dedicated to sustainable land-use practices, is a dynamic place where knowledge and innovation collide.
As you explore the exhibition, we encourage you to engage with our exhibitors, participate in live demonstrations, and discover new technologies and methodologies that have the potential to revolutionize agroforestry. This is a unique opportunity to network, learn, and collaborate with professionals from around the globe.
Thank you for being part of this significant event. Let's make the most of this opportunity to work together and share ideas to shape the future of agroforestry.
Generally, Rwanda has three land use systems represented by the high, mid- and lower-elevation landscapes that provide an opportunity to appreciate various agroforestry options in different geographical and socioeconomical contexts as well as the scenic beauty of the countryside.
Tours and field visits to these landscapes would enable to appreciate the agroforestry practices piloted and promoted to enhance the livelihoods and environment protection in Rwanda.
Rwanda's Three Land Use Systems:
- High-elevation landscapes: Characterized by cooler climate and tea plantations
- Mid-elevation landscapes: Diverse agroforestry systems with mixed farming
- Lower-elevation landscapes: Drought-resistant practices and resilient agricultural systems

Rwanda's beautiful terraced hillsides showcase innovative agroforestry practices that combine food production with environmental protection.
